Issue 58

The (count 'em) sixth time (!!!) my buddy Daniel Powell and I have played our cross-hemisphere game of keeping daily comics diaries to then agree on common days to be presented to you dear reader. I scrawl them in Wellington, New Zealand while Daniel scribbles them in Verl, Germany. Facing pages reflect the same dates.

"Within these pages, both Daniel and I detail our everyday thoughts and actions with candour, making no pitch for a grander narrative. Death, art and politics play to the necessary rhythms of parenting, shopping and housework." Oct 2015.

Issue 57

Issue 57 revisits parenting as the kids hit tweenhood and the hormonal challenges that brings. The wife and I battle the kids, the school, the neighbors, and even some militant feminists. It's a minefield of cultural expectations! Text and drawings. 20 pages. May 2015.

Issue 56

An extensive historical essay on the new millennium NZ zine scene. Surveys NZ zine platforms from Moira Clunie's Moon Rocket zine distro started in 2000 through to the inaugural Hamilton Zinefest 2014. A personal perspective via my own involvement. Also includes commentary on the scenes Riot Grrrl legacy, and on current tensions between the scenes increasing accessibility and the decorative apoliticality of some current output. Feb 2015.
